X -ray powder diffraction patterns (\lambda=1.5406 \AA) for \mathrm{BaLn}_{2} \mathrm{CuTi}_{2} \mathrm{O}_{9}(L n=\mathrm{La}, \mathrm{Pr}, \mathrm{Nd}) at room temperature. The groups of peaks are indexed in the tetragonal system (I4/mcm). Inset shows Rietveld refinement results using I4/mcm and P m \overline{3} m models for \mathrm{BaNd}_{2} \mathrm{CuTi}_{2} \mathrm{O}_{9}). The black rectangles indicate, as in previous figure, the presence of an impurity.
